• resin-track

  • step 1 - find the dimensions that work w/ the Hive 's Form 4 3D resin printers

    • printed a two models to find a goodd-ish Y space for the flange

    • printed a model to find a good X space for the neck

      • variants tested: 300, 500, 750, 1000 (works), 1400, 1700, 2000 microns

      • this was a perfect fit neck-wise but the flange X was too small

      • 2 identical resin prints with eight spacings for the flange, with a KATO UNITRACK rail snugly fittiny in the 4th-from-smallest holder

    • tested flange Y: 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900, 1000µm

      • best fit: flange Y=500µm, head X=600µm, flange X=1.5mm

      • rail snug fit

      • can see that the smaller flange width ones cut in to too much

    • seems like that is not good enough actually

      • curved track piece with clips, but flange X or Y (or both) is too small

      • this was flange 1400µm×500µm, will try 1500µm×900µm

  • step 2 - try making track pieces

    • curved track piece w/ constant radius, top view

    • made a piece w/o correct dims for the rail, but otherwise looks good!

  • slab tracks
